I LOVED this episode! Everything was brilliant, the writing, the acting, the perfect mix of humor and serious business... I'm happiest about Cas coming back and Sam's car getting destroyed (the Impala is better anyways). I'm also really happy with how Dean is still being in daddy mode and how he is suspicious about Sam, who seems to have lost all his compassion in hell (the effect of consuming demon blood maybe?). Cas is still mostly the same, except now he has a purpose. It's nice that he still believes that there can be peace in Heaven (and Earth), he remains the only angel with morals around. About the getting the information from the kid scene, I don't think there's much difference between this situation and the Jesse situation (except for Sam's behavior), Castiel still does what he thinks is the most important, and although I don't condone torturing children, I can sort of understand, that Cas sees it different (a minute of pain versus getting his soul back? The choice seems pretty simple). I was quite intrigued by Balthazar, he seemed a lot like Gabriel. (I kept thinking, when he said that he was following in Castiel's footsteps, that he should have said Gabriel's. I guess most angels don't actually know what happened to him.) I think we might see him again. Also Cas should be used to his angelic friends becoming enemies (or, as Balthazar, neutrals), remember Uriel? The one thing that annoys me, is that he (and other angels) keeps calling Castiel "Cas". It's weird, shouldn't they leave it in the normal form? It was understandable with Uriel and Zachariach, when it was mostly mocking, but here it was out of place... I don't like it.

All in all, a great episode, I can't wait for the next one!
