I had forgotten I had another LJ account... Can't even remember why I made it anyway. Let it be purged!

I think I might have just died...

I have visited three beautiful cities during a trip to Germany. The first was Karlsruhe, where my sister now goes to university, next was a sort trip to Strasbourg, which is very close to Karlsruhe. On the way back we've seen Prague.

This year a lot has happened during summer, and a lot will still happen. There was my first time driving a glider trailer (or however it's called in English), which was scary and difficult, but thankfully successful. Being a helper to my mom on a gliding competition (didn't win, but that's not the most important thing). Then (and during) doing some summer work (the pay was good, so I'm not complaining for all the lost time from what was supposed to be the time to rest). My computer broke, so I had to borrow one from a friend (I love my friends :P ), and soon I'm going to buy a new one (can't wait, living without a computer that I can call my own is annoying). I have finally painted my room (it still needs some finishing touches, but it will be done until Saturday). I've seen some movies (the last one was Sorcerer's Apprentice), will be seeing some more soon (I need to watch Inception!), and on Sunday I'm leaving for a week with dad, my grandparents, and dad's brother and his family. It is going to be fun. Dad will be fishing, we'll go mushroom hunting and sightseeing. It will be a house above a lake, and the weather is supposed to be really nice. I'm sure it will be a great trip. Plus on Saturday is my birthday :) and it's usually a really good day. I have already promised my friends that I'm going to invite them for a birthday party as soon as I will come back. That will be nice as well.

This year had (and will have) some hurdles for me, but it's also one of the best so far. I hope everything will be fine at the end.

I finally started watching Glee. After 6 episodes I can safely say that I'M IN LOVE (actually I could say that after the first one, but who cares). My favorite ones are episode 4 and 6 for both the drama and the humor. And I love ALL characters! That's something that didn't happen before. I can't even begin to pick favorites, it's impossible! Going to watch some more now...

My reaction to Supernatural 100 )

This season is so sad lately! I've been constantly crying my eyes out and I don't know if it's good for them... I can't wait for next week though, even if I might cry again.

In related news: I don't think I would name any son of mine Castiel, no matter how much I love the guy. It's just to weird of a name! It seems however, that it will soon stop being weird in USA :)

That was hard, since I only know Europe and Japan well enough!

I just got back from watching "Alice in Wonderland" and I have to say it was pretty spectacular...

...spoilers after the cut. )

The movie was beautiful and I would gladly watch it one more time. Definitely buying it on DVD!

A bit about Supernatural 5.11 )

There are rumors that the sixth season was given a go. The Apocalypse should be over by then, but I hope Castiel will stay. Otherwise I'm happy with that piece of news :)

New theme

I have chosen a new theme to one that's more clean. I like the new order a lot. In other new, I'm going to be on TV on Monday and I'm a bit nervous. I have not seen the completed episode myself, I haven't even seen how I looked on the screen! It's rather depressing... Luckily not many people will have the chance to watch it, since it's on in the middle of the day. Myself included. Although it may be repeated on Thursday in two weeks. Hopefully it will look OK. Finally there's snow where I live (even if it might melt down till Christmas).m It's also rather sunny recently, so everything looks glorious. Like that:

The kittens are crazy. They literally climb walls. I'm a bit scared for our Christmas tree when we will finally decorate it. It's not going to last! We have picked names for the two remaining kittens and it's Bunia and Lucifer. Luci's name is very appropriate. Bunia's is too actually, cause it comes from her fur color. And she is a nice kitten. She spent 2 hours today sleeping on me :) Luci is definitely more crazy than she is. Oh, and their mom, Froggy, is weird! They have this plush mouse and she keeps bringing it to the kittens and trying to feed them with it! I figure she spends way to much time at home...

I have scored my first TV appearance. Well, it won't be an appearance till 21.12, but my scenes have been filmed today. I was really nervous. My sleep was restless, I kept waking up and had a really nasty (and bloody) nightmare. I have barely eaten anything before and didn't even feel a bit hungry through the 2.5 hours of filming. In short I was terrified. During the first take I simply got stuck and had to begin anew. Thankfully I got more relaxed after a while. All in all it was a good experience. I honestly doubt I will ever be able to repeat it, but if I get the chance, I won't hesitate.

The program was a short educational one about robots - both those in more serious use and toys. I'm pretty pleased with how I did, but I bet I will look dreadful on the screen. The camera tends to hate me!

The trivia about me is rather depressing. And what's with all those sexual innuendos?

So the forecast was right this time. It's snowing. I thought at first that it would all melt down upon touching the earth, but it's not and everything is getting more and more white. It's not a mere snowfall either - it's a real blizzard! Mother nature is creepy this year...

In other news: I've got a twitter account now - http://twitter.com/olikard. I think I'm crazy...

olikard: (Default)
It's supposed to start snowing tomorrow and it's only October... September was unusually warm and October is unusually cold... I'm beginning to think the world really is ending (just rather slowly). Not that I have anything against snow, but usually it appears in mid November or December. And I really dislike the cold... Although it also makes the world around me more beautiful. And white. I like white.
Unfortunately it also means that I won't be able to finish the scarf I'm knitting before snow comes. I've only managed to do 30 cm so far. Since it's my first knitting attempt ever I'm rather proud with my progress anyway :)

About the kittens: they are 3 weeks old now, have open eyes and can't really walk yet. They are however really cute. Especially the non-black one. The pictures are from yesterday:

It's been exactly 2 months since I last wrote here. I can only blame it on my laziness, being almost constantly ill (the whole 2 months! And I'm not even fine now...), a skiing trip and the end of the term. That's a lot of excuses, isn't it? I find that the first one is the most valid :)

So I've been skiing in Wisla. I'm not all that good but during the week we were there I've improved a lot. I'm fine with pretty difficult slopes now! That is, I'm fine with them when my fear of heights doesn't interfere... But it was fun, despite the almost constant muscle aches. I'd like to repeat it sometimes soon...
where I was skiing

The picture above is the mountain we were skiing on :) It's neat.

Another thing is my health - almost nonexistent right now. During the last 2 months I've been healthy for about 2 weeks totally (and still managed to go skiing!). The rest of time was spent on coughing and having fever. I don't really understand what happened, since my health is usually pretty decent. Even in winter. I'm starting to think it's some form of allergies. We'll see after I get examined.

Meanwhile the first term ended and the second one began. Despite my illness I've done good. Though now I'm not up to attending school just yet...

I've seen Australia today. The movie is great. I absolutely loved Hugh Jackman (though I did love him even before watching it), found Nicole Kidman very good and loved David Wenham (he's cute even as the bad guy!). And I don't know from where do I know the girl playing David's wife (Essie Davis). Matrix maybe? Anyway, she was good too.

It's freezing! Currently it's about -20°C (about -4°F) and it is supposed to get even colder. I nearly totally froze on my way to the university, despite all the layers of clothing, gloves and my hood. Nothing helps! We are doomed...

The new year is aboard! The 31st and the 1st  went rather smoothly. I went to Siedlce on the 30th of December and stayed there till the 1st. The first night we watched some movies - Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hellboy 2, The Eye (scary, but not overly) and Beauty and the Beast (which is a great, great movie). The second night -New Years Eve- was spent dancing, eating (a bit) and talking. After the clock struck midnight we opened a bottle of (nonalcoholic) champagne, watched fireworks (some were really close - and beautiful), danced a bit more and watched Disney's Aladdin - also a very good movie. So it all went rather quietly. Accept one thing. I've been watching Ghost Hunters lately. Unfortunately it's having bad effects on me - I'm getting scared at night thinking that there might be ghost in my room. I just don't feel comfortable. Of course there are no ghosts - the effect is purely psychological, but my rational mind seems to turn off at night. The results are that I can't sleep well - in fact I haven't slept the whole night since the 30th December. That makes me rather irritated, but I can't stop watching the series - it's interesting! The funniest thing is I keep waking up on (more or less) the same hour every night - around 3 A.M. Hopefully the effect will neutralize itself soon.

I've been ice skating again yesterday and it was great! I've been learning to ride backwards and I'm making progress. I'm hoping to go again on Tuesday.
